When Tracie and I decided we were going to take her job search to the next level, there was some reluctance when it came to paying for services that would help us do that.
Like most people, we were living paycheck to paycheck and just hoping nothing major went wrong with our health, our home, our cars and lots of other things, too. It was a little bit of a leap of faith, so we kept our investment into it as minimal as possible (about $100). We reasoned that if all it lead to was one temping job then we had made back the investment and got the opportunity for her to have a great experience with that dentist.
As the story goes, Tracie ended up getting several interviews and temping jobs from that investment. I can’t even give you an ROI (return on investment) because one of those job interviews led her to her current job that she has held for several years now. But in the first two months from the time we had invested that $100 she had made about $2500 (from the temp work and first couple weeks of permanent work) – all of it as a direct result of the investment.
Was it worth? That’s not even a question we feel smart about asking.
I can’t guarantee the same results – every situation has different variables. Some of the clients I have worked with have exceeded our results with even more interviews and temp work, some have had less. But every client I know of is happy with the result they got and I believe you will be too simply because we have years of experience doing this.
